Hola amigos,
Last week was the start of EOTC a.k.a education outside the classroom.
My favourite activities were surfing at Sumner beach and The Amazing Race starting at the Botanical Gardens going through town and ending at Margaret Mahy playground.
I was scared when we were riding on the bus to Sumner beach because i'm afraid of the ocean but when we started it was very fun and the waves were pretty big. The waves were taking the boards but we had cords attached to our ankle so we could pull it back to us. We went to about knee or waist deep in the water because they didn't want us going too far. Our instructors were from a place called Stoked Surf School they taught us how to be safe while surfing and how to ride waves.
In the fun run we had groups. My mother was our group leader and the people in my group were: Riley, Oakley, Mele, Rableen and my brother Elijah. We had pieces of paper telling us riddles and the groups had to find the place that the riddle was telling us to go. While my group were walking around at the Botanical Gardens, we had to take photos of landmarks at the Botanical Gardens. It took us about 1 hour and 30 minutes to finish. My team placed in fourth, tied with another team.
Thank you for reading my blog. Don't forget to comment and have a great day. Bye.
